Can I use EntryList to group entries by KeyValue. The context would be Category. I admit that I am at a loss on how EntryList gathers a list of entries and uses the tags.
When I try the examples, I get an error message and I believe these messages are because I put the code into an Index Template as opposed to an Archive Related Template. Please tell me if my guess is correct here.
What I am attempting to do by Category is to create lists within a category based on keyvalue. The lists are not just links but contents of MTEntryBody and MTEntryMore.
This approach (at least I think it would) allow me to:
1. Create simulated page breaks (i.e. new html pages per keyvalue)
2. Automatically perform unique formatting on the divs within the simulated page breaks.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks

I would think any kind of comparison plugin should be able to check on the keyvalues for you to see whether you should include an entry in the list or not. However I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to do. The creation of new HTML pages per keyvalue sounds more like a job for Paginate or Collect, since Collect can create archive pages for you.

Thanks for the reply. In a brief answer to your thoughts about MTCollect, yes, it does work. I have a working model of code, but I have hit some limitations (basically in my knowledge) that I just cannot figure out how to work out.
Yes, I can autocreate separate html pages and group by tag using some tricks. The grouping and collecting works, its the formatting of the collected page that I can not seem to get to work with MTCollect. In essence what I can do is use two divs and swap contents (pic in left div content in right div) and then alternate the format within a "subpage". But because of the way MTCollect builds pages I cannot use the div class swapping or div class substitution while the single articles are being assembled. So what I am trying to do now is to build custom MTCode for each Category subpage.
thanks again for your input (just as an aside, I did try your solution using setvarblock and again, but couldn't make it work). Didn't want to bump that topic up.
