hmm.. seeing as how i can't use IE, i'd really like something that doesn't depend on a browser... any suggestions out there?

I'm on a Mac, so IESpell is out for me as well.
Does anyone know what, if any, status there is on the Google APIs being integrated into MT for this purpose? The APIs do include Google's spellcheck functionality.
Thanks

Isn't it possible to use IE on a mac? I know the computers at school have it....

In response to being on a Mac...well...I just want to state the obvious (not actually trying to be mean) that when I'm on my mac (I switch between my mac and my pc)...and I'm noticing that I am having a particularly bad spelling day...I just open up word (or even dreamweaver for instance) write my entry...spell check it...and then copy paste. It only adds two extra steps...
But like I said...I only use it if I am having a particularly bad day. Usually I just suffer through the mistakes until my girlfriend says, "Um...Andrea...potatoe has nothing to do with toes..." And I catch her drift.

Okay, I am looking for a way to integrate a spell checker with Moveable Type seeing as how my spelling is horrid at time. Does anyone know a way to do this, using either a free, or pay service, or am I just SOL?

Incertus beat me to the punch - I was going to suggest the same thing! I just downloaded it, so far quite cool!

What kind of browser are you using? I am currently developing a Javascript based spell checker that theoretically should work in any modern browser - so far I've only tested it with IE 5+ and Netscape 6+ on Mac and Windows. Older versions of Netscape (4.x) and IE (4.x) will not be supported, but I'm planning to look into other borwsers as soon as the current version is solid.
The spell checker can be easily integrated with MT (to add spell checking when editing posts, comments, etc.)
I'll be looking for beta test within a month or so - I'll make an announcement in this forum.
And yeah, it's going to be free :-)

I use Opera.. so it should work fine. Sounds like a good plan!

Yes, it's available. However, the IESpell app is Windows-specific.
