Hey all. Hopefully you can help me.

I have had two blogs. Both used MT. I shut one down and saved the MySQL database file.

I then created another blog and am currently running that one. However how can I import the old blog into the new one?

I've tried importing the SQL file into the new one but there's collisions with ID numbers and so on and so forth.

Is there any way I can combine the two successfully?

probably the easiest way would be to modify your mt.cfg to point to the old MT database, log in to MT and export it. Change mt.cfg to point back to the original MT database, log in and import the file you just exported.

Or, create a script that queries the database and writes out a text file using the MT Import format
