Hey guys smile.gif

Thought that at least SOME of you would think this was cool. It lets you add a fully customizable, skinnable FREE poll widget/plugin to your movabletype blog.

I'll link it: SodaHead Poll Widget -- the URL is www.sodahead.com/group/235

I think you guys should check it out, it's pretty sweet.

Thanks for reading!

Well, that doesn't smell like marketing at all. You just love the plugin so much you created an account today specifically for purposes of telling us about it.

Here's a link to the plugin directory page on this, which also has a link out with no unnecessary query param in the URL(affiliate link?)

What's wrong with marketing? Just announcing a new plugin...It's hardly like I was spamming this forum. You chose to read it, and it IS a good plugin. You don't need to put down my post, just don't read it.

For starters, advertising is frowned upon. Secondly, the text reeked of astroturfing; you didn't actually say anything, but sounded like a carefully scripted commercial. If you actually just express yourself that way, then my mistake. Third, again, you seem to have created your account for no other purpose than this "spontaneous" announcement, which is more than a little suspicious, and to date have not said anything else. Fourth, the plugin is not new, though judging from the forum over at Sodahead, is possibly somewhat neglected. (That single bug thread from "Patric?" That was me, using the account my business partner set up to test the plugin for a client.)

So, are you employed by or associated with Sodahead, any of its partners or affiliates? I'm still curious where that URL query parameter came from. I poked around and couldn't find any place on their site to generate one like that.

Well, free doesn't mean good.

I've tried it with MT 4.1 and it aint' working.
