I couldn't find an answer by searching the boards, if this has been answered already I appologize.

Anyway.

I plan on exporting my current MT entries, and then importing them into a new MT installation. When I go to import them, will it create individual entries (and entry pages) or one huge one? And if it creates individual entries (and pages), will the comments still be intact, and will people still be able to comment on the imported entries?

It will create seperate entries with comments and allow comments status retained (as well as stuff like post or draft and convert breaks)-- one thing though it doesn't export the templates (assuming you've edited/replaced them)  but those can be cut and pasted with out too much hassle -- if you won't have access to both installs at once just copy the templates into text files then cut & paste into the new install.
