After updating to MT 4.2, search is broken. This is the error we get:

How do we fix this? Our templates were never upgraded from v3 to v4. all efforts to understand the process has resulted in nothing but frustration. The closest thread I found was Move Blog From One Installation To Another, but using these steps on Backing up and Restoring Blogs gets me the images from the site and two files, but nothing on how to restore.

How can I get search fixed and upgrade my site including custom templates and CSS to MT 4.2?

Just like the error says, the template module "Entry Summary" doesn't exist. if you look in the Search Results template you'll see <mt:Include module="Entry Summary" somewhere. If you look at the Template Module's you have, you'll see that you don't have one of these. I'm guessing you upgraded from 3.1x to 4.2? I think 3.1x (and older) didn't have the Search Results template, so 4.2 added one with the default template. The solution is to update the Search template by copying the old one into it or building a new one.

I added the Entry Summary and now I'm getting an error:

Publish error in template 'Search Results': Error in <mtInclude> tag: Can't find included template module 'HTML Head'

I see no template "HTML Head"
