hi.

just installed v3.3.5

everything went good. no problems. (installed v2.63 back in '03, been running that since).

only problem is with stylecatcher.

i get the pop-up that *says* "Successfully applied new theme selection".

But when I visit the blog, it look like this:

http://blogs.radified.com/ (no style at all)

i rebuilt the site. done everything i can think of.

any ideas?

The style has been applied. If you view the Stylesheet template (and the resulting styles-site.css file on the server), you'll see the following:
CODE
/* This is the StyleCatcher theme addition. Do not remove this block. */
@import url(http://radified.com/mt335-static/themes/base-weblog.css);
@import url(http://radified.com/mt335-static/themes/268parchment/268parchment.css);
/* end StyleCatcher imports */

The reason you're not seeing your new style when viewing your weblog is because both of those imported URLs are resulting in a 404 error. The browser can't find the files referenced, and so can't use them to render the style.

I'd suggest you check that you have correctly configured the StyleCatcher plugin - firstly checking that the URL and path set for the Theme Root correspond to each other. The URLs look OK here, so I'd guess that the Theme Root Path set isn't quite right, and so the theme files have been saved to a different location that the URL setting is pointing at. Once they match, you'll want to reapply the style (or move the files into the right place).

that's what i was thinking.

i'll play around with it and report back

thanks for the help.

here's what i'm looking at now:

theme root url:

http://radified.com/cgi-bin/mt335/mt-static/themes/

theme root path:

/home/radif2/public_html/cgi-bin/mt335/mt-static/themes

i been trying different versions

i can *see* the various different saved themes in:

cgi-bin/mt335/mt-static/themes/

the default setting given by the software was:

http://radified.com/mt335-static/themes/

but there is no "themes" directory listed there.

i *have* however, used mt335-static as my static directory.

got it!

had to copy themes to the static directory outside cgi-bin.

can't say, but regarding this entry ..

i know i had to change the "theme root path" to my static directory *outside* of the cgi-bin directory.

now it works just as it should (i no longer have to copy the files into that folder from the directory inside the cgi-bin folder.

very cool when it works as it should.

I'm having issues with Stylecatcher as well. I've installed everything and can access Stylecatcher with no problem, but there are no styles in the style selector window. I've tried using the default url to access the six apart style library. The left column displays the title of the style location e.i. Movable Type - Style Library, but there is nothing in the window on the right. What is going on?
