Hi, I'm closing in on a site development on an MT4.1 site. I'm using MT4 as a CMS, and the whole site is based on folders and pages rather than entries.
I've arranged the folder sorting I need to do what I want (arbitrary ordering rather than alphabetical) and I want to do the same with the sub nav. The subnav is simply a list of pages within the folder. There's another post in the forums which asks the same question but has been closed before it was answered... as I'm not using tags for anything I figure I ought to be able to tag each page numerically and sort by tags but I can't find any instance of this being done anywhere or get a handle on the code required... What I want to do... Folder > Page 3 > Page 1 > Page 2 etc.. Incidentally, I have the Professional Pack and by extension access to Custom Fields, so if there's a way to do it using that I'm willing to give that a shot as well!!! All suggestions received gratefully! Thanks This post has been edited by deeleea: May 25 2008, 05:13 AM -------------------- Those who can do; those who can't end up here...

It's kinda messy, but if you change the publish year of pages, they'll sort from newest to oldest. I make my index page 2020, the next page 2000, then 1980, and so on. Of course, if you want to display page dates anywhere, it could look silly.
If there's a better way to do this, I'm all ears! -------------------- |
