This may be one of those times where I can't find a pencil because it's behind my ear, but is there a way to reach the support forum from the moveable type author ui?

Well, you can click the MT logo in the upper lefthand corner to get to the homepage, and then click Support Forum from there

Just two clicks away

Yeah, I guess 2 clicks was just too much for me...I actually had been trying to find it in the Help Manual.

By default there is a link here on the welcome screen in MT now. If you don't have one (I think it goes away once you customize it?), you can add it through the config to the welcome screen.
