Hello, I've been trying to archive monthly, but the trick is, I want it so that when the month is clicked, the individual archive from that month would show up in a collapse menu type of thing.

So you want something like this:

November 2002
October 2002
September 2002

And then when you click on November, it would look like this:

November 2002
  post 1 [linked]
  post 2 [linked]
  post 3 [linked]
October 2002
September 2002

If so, I could probably modify show/hide script from SG work for this -- I wrote this turorial a while back.  With some tweaking, I could probably rework it for you if the above example is what you are looking for

Yep, that is exactly what I meant.  :)  I attempted to use that and have failed.  The problem is... I couldn't get the separate month archive list to show up under the monthly archive type.
