I've been cruising along with mt for months now, but today when i tried to login I get and Invalid Login error, and when I request my password I get "no such user with name..."
Is there a way i can reset a new author without reinstalling? There's only one author, so as far as I can tell I'm locked out. I'm using version 2.21
Thanks

Is it possible that your host upgraded perl or Berkeley DB?
I'm seeing the same problem - if Perl has been upgraded I didn't know about it - and further what can I do if it has been?
Hmm, seems I just missed it. In fact - this just happened :
Upgrades of the following features:
Sendmail message transfer agent (MTAs) with switching tool
2.4.19 kernel
gcc 2.96-RH
glibc 2.2.4
Perl 5.6.1
Latest OpenSSL libraries from RedHat (0.9.6g)
Any thoughts on how I can recover??

My host said nothing has changed, although they did move all the domains to a new server, so that may have had something to do with it. Is there anyway for me to reset the author so i can login again?

Yes, do a search for reset-auth.cgi in the forum--that's a script to reset the password to 'Nelson'.

It's
here.
Something else was up as well, I decided to grab my old .idx files, dump them to my home machine, and extract / rebuild. Everything seems OK for now. I think I'll be a little more careful about saving as text.
