Correct me if I'm wrong,  but there has not been an update to the David Gagne email this link (mt-popupemail.cgi) script as seen on Scripty Goddess etc: ie only works for 2.2 or lower. No?

So how do I make a nice popupemail in MT MSql 2.5. Anyone?

Great hopes for the phpmail with attachments mooted on Scripty Goddess too  ;)

It works fine as far as I know in 2.51.  Thats the version I have and I'm using Pop-up E-mail without a problem.

Well, that all sounds pretty reassuring so I decided to trust you guys.

I tried again, despite massive failure with 2.2 a while back and imprecations on dgagne's site that it wouldn't work at all.

And... it sort of works.

So, I'm runing 2.5 here:

What's happening? As far as I can see the javascript is failing to spawn a new window in IE 5xx mac
(and Opera 6, like anyone cares) although the script functionality works just fine now if you manually demand mt-popupemail.cgi with an entry ID from the address bar... which kinda completely defeats the object.

Similarly (is this a clue or not?) the in-theory-excellent Javascript addon found on the davidgagne pop mail tutorial pages which alerts users to unfilled fields in the form also gets ignored by my broswer/s.  No problems at all spawning jscript popup windows of any other kind however... (see Happy Solstice entry)
