It sounds like maybe one of your .tmpl files (in the tmpl directory) was not uploaded completely. Try to re-upload that directory.

Could you send me an email message with the URL for MT?

I just set up Movable Type 2.0 on my site (running win2k / apache), and changed the default log included with MT to my own.  I can log in fine, but when I click on the name of my log (Pillar of Stoicism) or click "manage blog", I get something like
QUOTE
a title="Rebuild Files" "window.status='Rebuild Files'; return true" href="#" onClick="window.open('/mt/mt.cgi?__mode=rebuild_

displayed somewhere in the page, or a VD align = "top", and the page just refreshes... and it kinda just gets caught in an 'infinite refresh loop'.

I'm on Windows XP / IE 6.  I tried it under opera... the sidebar manages to load up on the left, but I still get random html like that, just no refresh.  In opera I can click on the side buttons like "Edit Templates", and the template page loads up fine.

Any ideas?  (I haven't changed the welcome screen or anything, it's all default.  Movable type cgi files are in D:/pos.com/mt , the main index is in D:/pos.com/, and the archives are in d:/pos.com/archive

My site is http://www.pillarofstoicism.com if it matters)

It still does it... I copied the files over locally on the machine (it's running off my computer at home), so I don't think the files are messed up.  I uploaded them straight from the .tar.gz file (just downloaded.. so I do'nt have a bad copy or anyhing) on my laptop, and it still does it, so it doesn't seem to be a file problem.
