Hi there. If anyone can help me to implement this, my thanks would know no end...

I intend to set up two MT blogs on my server. Let's call them MarquisBlog and DeuxBlog. Both are updated periodically, and live on different pages.

Both blogs live on a website with many other updated, nonblog areas. Thus, users will tend to bookmark (and revisit) the index/page ("Portal") to check for updates site-wide.

First (less important) question: Should I use two separate MT implementations for MarquisBlog and DeuxBlog? They will have nothing to do with one-another, except that they're both on the same server....

Second (very important) question: When a user visits Portal and a new blog entry has been posted since the last time they visited MarquisBlog or DeuxBlog, I would like a graphic to appear indicating this: ("New post on MarquisBlog!") Presumably, MarquisBlog and DeuxBlog will need to set cookies when people visit them, and Portal will check these cookies and add a graphic correspondingly. How do I do this? I only know HTML, but I'm computer-literate enough to apply/adapt code snippets.

I realize this seems a little confusing. It's not actually complicated: I'm simply incoherent. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it so very much. I'm happy to answer any questions here or on email (sean@tangmonkey.com).

Thank-you!
