I had the same problem with Prohosting. I do believe it's the banner ad that is messing everything up. I had read through their help files and they said that the ads do sometimes mess up javascripts  ???

Greymatter works fine on Prohosting, but you won't have all the features MT has  :(

There was a suggestion in the Prohosting help files about putting the javascripts on separate files and then linking to them. I don't know whether that would work or not with MT

I still can't delete entries or edit templates.  However, I was able to add an entry via the Bookmarklets system and it works properly.  What's Up?? huh.gif

Sorry I haven't written here in a while.  I'm glad to say that the problem with this and my earlier posts was with Prohosting and not with MT.  I've been lucky to find space on Nicewebs since they have very limited space for free hosting.  For all of you that tried to help me on a server that doesn't support MT, thank you!

I don't know if this is the proper category, but I've just installed Movabletype on my (prohosting) site and am getting Javascript errors (when viewed in IE).  To be specific, when I post somthing I get multiple entries, I can't delete any entries, nor can I edit some of my templates (the templates that use the 'EDIT' button). What can I do to fix this??

Just a thought: They have a big banner ad on their free sites that might affect the MT scripts. huh.gif

What can I do to nullify the effect that the banner has on MT?  Or if I can't nullify the banner, is there another free web server that I can put MT on?

There are some host recommendations in the Feedback Forum. I don't know if they are free, but they are recommended for MT use by other MT users. If there's no way to get rid of the banner on prohosting that is killing the Javascript, then there's no way to fix the problem
