When posting through the MetaWeblog API in MT 2.63 and choosing "Closed" for the comments status, I get the following error:

Value for mt_allow_comments must be either 0 or 1 (was '2') at lib/MT/XMLRPCServer.pm line 130

It seems the RPC server wasn't updated to support the new 2.6 comment status.

I'm pretty sure that was fixed in 2.63... make sure that you have the latest copy of XMLRPCServer.pm.
