Is there anyway, using Movable Type's search feature to allow it to search an entire website, not just the Movable Type install?
And, if you can't do that, is there any good search scripts (PHP, CGI) that will do an entire site easly, and quickly?

I use
PicoSearch for the non-MT-entry sections of my site.

Is there any way to have the MT search engine search over all the blogs you have on one site? There has to be a way for this to happen.
BTW girlie... did you used to frequent Hotline servers? If so I may know you. If not, thanks for your help.

By default, the search form will look through all blogs on your site. You have to use ExcludeBlogs or IncludeBlogs to override that.
No, I'm not familiar with Hotline servers.

Really?
I have a blog with the name "Chester Morton" on it that rests in a "history" blog on one site. If you search for that name in one of my blog pages, say "News", then it won't come up. But THEN if you search from the search page it will come up. So I'm doing something wrong somewhere.

I think the seach code in the default templates has it set to this blog only. Look for a line like
CODE
<input type="hidden" name="IncludeBlogs" value="<$MTBlogID$>">
and delete it.

Ah, sorry, I was thinking of the example in the manual.
