Hmmm.... so you were adding an entry and you hit save... and then it told you "load failed"? That's it? Was there anything else to the message?
Also, when you rebuild all, does it do this without any error messages? Is there anything "funky" in the entry you were adding, or is it just plain text?
I don't know... just trying to get some more info, please.

Thanks, but I guess I won't be of any help on this one. I don't know what that is. Ben of course will. Um, do you have a recent backup? :)

Okay, good. Hold tight! Bump your post back up to the top later if you still haven't heard anything, posts get buried pretty fast since the new version.

Sorry I couldn't help at all. I searched the forum too and couldn't get anything to come up. :(

Did you encounter any problems at all during the upgrade process? Did mt-upgrade.cgi complete successfully?
I'm just wondering if it's trying to "load" into the new db format and unable to do so because db didn't get updated with the new fields.
Is weekly archiving still checked in your Archiving Configuration screen?

I was running version 1.4 and everything was running smoothly. I then "successfully" upgraded to 2.0. After adding a new entry and attempting to save I got an error message "load failed". I then rebuilt and suddenly my master archives list "appear" empty. What's more, the files for my weekly archives are no longer being created when I rebuild (I tested this by deleting the html files and then rebuilding). I haven't changed anything, so I'm not sure what the problem could be. Any ideas?

That's all it said - "load failed". When I rebuild it appears to do so flawlessly. It rebuilds the master archive (I've tested this by changing non MT code in the template), it just doesn't "populate" it with my entries. And it doesn't even create files for my weekly archives. The entry I was adding was plain text. I use a standard format, and this followed that format.

Well, all my postings are still there. And I can still access all my templates, so nothing too bad can happen I guess.

Well, at least you're in bugs instead of installation problems. You're still at the top! :)

Are you sure the permissions are correct on the files in your 'db' directory? Should be 666.
