With help from you people I managed to set up Htmlarea by Interactive Tools.

Can anyone help me to add new buttons to Htmlarea? Can I for example add clickable Smilies?

No help for adding a smiley button but for those that just want some simple buttons I've made a few hacks to MT's templates:  adding buttons to MT
