For the longest time I have been TRYING my best to do a neat looking blog. I just don't have any understanding what so ever about templets and so on. I see all theses nice looking blogs and want to do one like it. I can design a webpage fine in Front Page with just click, type and so on. I was able to load Moveable type online to my personal site (I am shocked at myself!)  biggrin.gif  But, yet I can't seem to understand how to personalize it so that the blog looks like how I want it!

Here are some examples of some blogs that I admire. I would like to design my blog page so it looks pretty much like my own webpages, but I can type and journal and so on.

My site: www.ashley4jesus.com
Ones with layouts and designs I want to have on mine:

http://lifewithtwinz.blogspot.com/
My favorite is: http://www.madgurl.com/blogger.htm

I guess you see what I mean. I would like to have a blinkie rack and so on. I am just really dumb when it comes to trying to figure this out!

I hope someone can help me. I have a link for my page so far. I made a site using something i saw on one website and it looked easy to do. I would love to personalize it. It looks so BLAH.

Please help! If you don't mind send a reply also to my personal e-mail address: allgoodwithgod@charter.net

My blog site is here: http://ashley4jesus.com/mt/

Thanks for help, God bless, Ashley

hopefully i can point you in the right direction, alot of what the are accomplishing is done via cascading style sheets (CSS) and possibly other DHTML(?). I'm still kind of learning it myself, i can do the basic stuff but the real neat tricks i am stilltrying to learn. A few sites you can look at is

www.w3c.org the home site for all the different web standards out there

http://www.meyerweb.com/eric/css/edge/  a neat site that has some tutorials on some cool CSS tricks

http://www.devshed.com/Client_Side/Style_Sheets some more on CSS

another thing that occured to me is trying emailing the people that made the sites that your interested in and see if they can help you out or possibly explain how they did it

hope that helps you out smile.gif
