I was trying to import all my entries from one blog to another. However the importing stopped before all my entries were imported.
When I tried again I got duplicates of the same entries. So I guess I have too delete everything and start over.
How can I do this? Do I have to select each seperate check box for ALL MY 1000 entries and then press delete?
Thanks.

Are you using MySQL? Do you have access to it via something like phpMyAdmin? If so, you can just "empty" the mt_entry table.

In that case, it's either Power Edit mode, or deleting the blog and creating a new one.

I had to do that my first time around when I accidently imported my entries twice :giggle: So you are in good company at least

I am using MySQL now and I have phpMyAdmin installed. I'm just wondering. If I empty the
mt_entry table won't entries in
ALL of my blogs get deleted?
How can I delete all entries in just one blog?

Delete the entries only where the blog_id equals the blog you want to remove. phpMyAdmin should have a query window that allows you to specify the SQL you need.

Could you be more specific? I'm new to PHPMyAdmin, and I wouldn't want to delete something I want to keep!
The blog_id of the the blog I want all entries deleted is 10.
How exactly would I do that?
Any help appreciated!

Okay - mucking around in the database with phpMyAdmin or any tool isn't advisable unless you're absolutely sure what you're doing.
And there are references to entries in other tables besides mt_entries that would be left orphaned if you just edited the one table.
Seriously, for that many entries, I'd probably just start a new blog and delete the old one. It'd be a lot faster and a great deal less risky.

I'd agree. You wouldn't want to mess around with SQL queries (especially SQL
delete queries) unless you know what you're doing! Trust me on this one. I speak from experience.

Starting a new blog and deleting the old is likely the best way to go.

Ok thanks guys. But dont I have to import all my templates to the new blog then? I think so
I wish there was an easy way to export all the templates and import them again to the new blog...
There is no way to do that right?
Thanks again!

Yes that IS a need trick. I'll do that. Still it would be nice if one could import all those files to a new blog with one click. Hope that will possible in some future edition of MT.
Thanks again for your help!
