i've got 3 MT journals. One of them contains all my stories and poems. This journal refuses to post my new entries after i select the save button. It doesn't matter how many words a post contains, once i select that save button the system hangs.

however, i have another 2 journals that allow me to enter stuff to them without errors.

has anyone received this sort of issues?
is there a limit to the length of posts MT can handle?

i really hope that it's not an "error" with the system that requires me to delete this journal or reinstall all of MT.

the MT journal i'm having issues with is here:
http://www.shadesofmaybe.com/novel/index.html

the journal that seems to let me add lengthy posts is:
http://www.shadesofmaybe.com/grok/index.html

any help greatly appreciated,

Does it matter if you save them in Draft or Publish mode? Saving an entry in Publish mode rewrites the file, and if permissions are hosed on the directory it's writing to, then maybe this is causing the hang on that one blog.

Try saving them in Draft status. If they save just fine, then it's a rebuild problem and I would check permissions on the affected directory.

i was able to save it as a draft and then go back in and revise and post it. and it does show up on my site.

of course, i did all this on my pc at work. most of the time i'll add things from my mac os 10.2.6 at home. but there shouldn't be an issue as to which platform i use to write entries, should there?

okay, so say it is an issue with the permissions on the directory MT writes the entry to. how do i implement a fix on this? i'm sure they're all set to chmod 755 and other than just verifying this... i have no other idea on what i can do.

thanks,
