Hello. Would anyone happen to know how to put something like the most recent pictures I've taken onto my personal domain linking to my photolog. That doesn't make much sense right now, sorry.

Well, here's an example: http://www.mysteriouswhisper.org/

See how there are her recent pictures lined up like that and then link back to her photolog type of thing. How would I go about doing this? Is there a script of some kind?

Thanks to anyone who replies smile.gif

Well, I see you're using the Quixotic Pixels photoblog template; the thumbnails in that template are contained in a template module called "littlepics". My best suggestion would be to use the OtherBlog plugin to include that module at the appropriate spot in your main blog template. Because your thumbnails are not stored in a MT field (like "EntryExcerpt"), this is probably the easiest way to go.

Does that help?

Oh. Thanks! It looks like it could help. I'll try it out.

Thanks again.

hi, i stumbled across this incredibly useful thread, thanks guys!

my question..let us say i set up a photoblog with the following as categories --

pics in ohio
pics in NY
pics in turkey
...etc.

each of these has many pictures of course (each picture representing an "entry" that is).

now, in each of my entry page i want to be able to display ALL the other entries belonging to the same category.

in english, when i am seeing a pic of ohio i want to be able to see ALL the thumbnailed pics from that category (pics from ohio) in a sidebar.

how should i do this? thanks for any ideas..

If you are using a photoblog based on the idea of blogstyles's tutorial or the aforementioned Quixotic Pixels tutorial, then you might be able to use the Related Entries plugin. Another option would be to create a set of Category templates that just have the bare minimum of code in them, and then include that into the Individual Archive template using the MTEntryCategory tag.

Thanks I will try that out, but i have a whole new problem. mt-check.cgi tells me that i have Image-Magick installed.

Now, when i upload file, then create thumbnail etc and then "EMBED PHOTO" etc, the little pop-up window closes and i am brought back to my original window BUT this window has a 500 internal sever error!

am i missing something? do i need some pre-adjustments before i start using the photoblog?
