Is it possible to have the MySQL database on another server than the one that the Movable Type installation is on?

Some hosts will let you do it, but I've heard that some won't. All you need to do is add the DBHost line to mt.cfg to see.

My host has offered MySQL with a remote address of XXX.XXX.X.XXX

When configuring mt.cfg, do I type in
DBHost http://XXX.XXX.X.XXX

or should I type in
DBHost XXX.XXX.X.XXX

I will be using Putty to create a directory called mtdb. Would the DataSource then be
DataSource XXX.XXX.X.XXX/giantkicks/mtdb
and if not is there some other way to find out the directory address, besides pestering my host?
