Hi all,
Very new, here. Just getting set up. Many things I have questions about will be solved when I can better undertsand the language.
But one thing I don't see covered in the MT Help is the adding of links on my sidebar.
Is this a place where I can add links to other sites?
Is there a way to change this title (i.e. "Links" becomes "Cool places" or something).
I'm learning to read the code, but slowly.
Thankfully, everything works!
Is there a book or manual that people would recommend?
I want to have a site which allows me and others to share ideas and news (some ranting, to be sure). But along the lines of a forum for us to be working at a shared (virtual) desk.
Thanks.
Bill

See that part in your side bar that says 'Links' and for you add your links? That's in the Main Template. You have to scroll down in the template to find it and you can then add your own links.
A better solution would be to use either SSI or PHP to include an external file that contains your links. This way you only have to rebuild that one file whenever you add/remove links, as opposed to having to rebuild your entire main template every time.

Hi Bill,
The manual that comes up when you click HELP from the MT interface is actually got lots of info. And then you'll find other sites like
virtual venus and
Girlie's Tips and Tricks. See more links to MT related sites on the sidebar of the
mt plugins directory.
For your specific question, the wiki has a
Add Your Links Here topic.
