i am a former blogger user and during the time i used it, i found this pulldown script generator for archives

is there any sort of similar thing for movable type, or does anyone have any examples to show me and i can work with it?

If you mean a dropdown box to choose archives/categories/entries, etc., yes. This site is one solution (I have another at home I liked better, but I'm not at home at the moment! )

Edited: Okay, at home now. The other dropdown I like (and am using) is found here at the Antipixel blog. If you use this, pay attention to the note about removing the angled character the author uses to wrap lines (or the script won't work!).
