I recently discovered a generated static entry file being generated as emtpy.

I deletede the entry, made a new one, and everything went well.

No it's happening again, and just creating a new entry doesn't work. I get this:

CODE
Can't use an undefined value as a SCALAR reference at /public_html/mt/lib/MT/ObjectDriver/DBM.pm line 173.

And UNDER the "normal" errorfield this in small grey letters:

CODE
MT::App::CMS=HASH(0x82a1c78) Use of uninitialized value at /public_html/mt/lib/MT/Serialize.pm line 49.

What's happening?!

Please help.

Database corruption. sad.gif

When was the last time you exported or made any kind of backups??

A while ago.

Index files generates nicely, as does monthly archives.

Isn't it possible to circle in the problem, and delete corrupted parts?!

Berkeley (DB_File.pm) isn't as easily manageable as MySQL (from what I understand), so I have no idea how you'd actually be able to do that. sad.gif

Right now your Indexes and Monthly Archives may generate fine, but the problem is likely to continue to get worse and worse the more you use MT.

If I were you, I'd focus on grabbing as much info from the installation as you can via copy and paste, and attempting an export of entries. The longer you wait, the more you stand to lose, because you are probably looking at a reinstallation.

sad.gif Oh no!

Tried exporting from within the MT-system. A long flat textfile list is created, but I'm not seeing all my entries.

Some instructions on exporting?!

Also - would trying to convert the Dbase to MySql be a likely sollution?!
