Full Version: time zone bug

I've recently noticed that my time of postings have been off by about an hour or an hour and a half.

I live in Eastern Canada and my time zone setting is at UTC-5 (Eastern Time).

I have resorted to using the UTC-3 (Atlantic Time) but I'm still off by about a half hour.

Not that this bugs me much but I just wanted to report it and find out if anyone else has this problem.

cheers!

does movable type show the times by downloading htem off your webserver and adjusting so or has it got its own 'database' cos if it is the former of the two then maybe where you're hosting it has a time problem !

Same thing for me, I also live in Eastern Canada and also have my time zone set as -5, it's also an hour and about 10 minutes off. I'm now using -4 but it's still about 10 minutes off.

i'm not sure about this how would I go about finding out? ohmy.gif

But I guess if matt is having the same problem it might not be my server.

Anything we can do about this?
maddy
Yes, MT works from the server time. Ask your host to double check that their timesettings are correct. smile.gif
