I have been having a lot of trouble of MTAmazon. I have it for a simple wishlist, but the plugin suddenly stopped working. Looking with mt-medic I get the following:

Error opening file '/.mtamazon.config': No such file or directory at extlib/MTPlugins/MTAmazon.pm line 509, <PLUGIN> line 18.
Compilation failed in require at (eval 27) line 3, <PLUGIN> line 18.

The .mtamazon.config file is in the plugins folder, but I can't figure out why this problem is occuring. The cache directory is empty as well.

It seems that this problem happens to a lot of people...I'm having the same problem, and have seen it listed here, and on the SF mailing list, but nobody ever seems to answer it.

Just to make sure - is it possible after you edited the .mtamazon.config file, that an extension was added to it by your text editor?

I usually rename a file on my server after uploading it just to make sure there are no hidden extensions on it.
