Well this now has been going on for a week and still I'm unable to post after my host closed down ftp access for the non-hacking event last weekend. The trouble shooting manual and posts here on the board indicate that permissions need to be set to 0777 and that is done on both the cgi side and the ftp side. Yet I continue to receive this error message - An error occurred:
Writing to '/Library/WebServer/WebSites/pswansen/public_html/index.html.new' failed: Opening local file '/Library/WebServer/WebSites/pswansen/public_html/index.html.new' failed: Permission denied

Well we've checked all the permissions and they are all set per the manual, so at this point, it ceases to be a permission issue, but rather a bug that needs fixed.

The board has been helpful with suggestions and yet none of those have made any remedy to the situation. So, until this bug gets resolved, it's back to Radio.

Have you tried turning off temp files as noted in the Troubleshooting Section of the manual under I get an error about .new files when rebuilding?
