http://www.fridayfires.com (still getitng it worked out) is where I'd like to be able to have users of MT be able to schedule things for weeks to come. Like if they have an activity 3 weekends ahead, they can enter it, and the rest of the world can see that it's an activity planned.

What would be sutable for that?

I've spent the last 3 hours looking at all of the PHP calendars that I care to, and they just don't seem to have the same feel that I'm looking for. Plus I don't want my users to have to log in twice

Would it work for you to have a separate blog to use for the calendar? Then you could have your users create a new entry for each event, and once they save it, they can change the date.
