Is it possible for me to add a ttl tag with a time in it to my rdf file?

Is that one of my templates?

I know some sites that gather the sydication feeds honor that time, and do not check your site more often than you set the time for.

Thanks

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with the TTL tag - can you give us more info on this?

Since you said it had to do with time and RDF feeds, I thought that you might check out Phil's Skip Hours plugin. smile.gif

But of course!

I have been playing with Nick Bradbury’s MOST EXCELLENT new product, FeedDeamon which gathers sydication feeds into one very cool tool.

And I noticed when playing with the settings that if the author of the XML has indicated how often their data might be updated, he will honor that, and not revisit the site more often than that.

I noticed the site below was one of those, and traced it to the TTL tag
http://www.brainstormsandraves.com/xml/rss.xml

So I added that to my RSS style sheets, and will check at work later today to see if that tag is picked up in my file.

It looks like t the TTL tag in an RSS feed is called Time To Live. It let's sombody know how long they can cache your info before they should check if it has been updated.

OK, I put the TTL tag in my RSS templates, and FeedDeamon understood what they were, and set the auto update value to the time that I put in the tag.
