Hello.
My provider gives some restricions for PHP and Perl processes. I read, that MT requires a relatively "strong" server. I am interested, if MT will work with the restricions of my provider.
Here are the restrictions:
= processes are allowed to use max. 10 seconds processor time (with 100% CPU-usage)
= processes are allowd to run max. for 1 minute (independet of CPU-usage)
= processes are allowed to use 12 MB RAM in maximum
= it is allowed to run max. 12 processes at the same time
Thank you, marcus.

Remember once the pages are built, they are static. MT only uses CPU time when you put up a new post and it has to rebuild (actually comments and searches do use cpu time but not that heavy of a load)
If and when your site gets very large you might have to worry about such hosting CPU limits, but I doubt a smaller site will get their attention. Just my 2 cents.

Marcus, MT allows you to control the number of pages included in each rebuild cycle - the default is forty pages at a time, and if you reduce that number, you can control server load - this comes up more often than you might think!
Does that help?

Hello Donna.
Do I get you right, that I can so to say "split up" the rebuilt cycle in several smaller rebuilt cycles that were done in a queue?
Thank you both for your quick support!
Marcus.
