I had to reinstall Movable Type today and recreate my blog (http://www.kemwhite.com/weblog/). My old blog listed archives by month on the side bar. But things were set up so when I clicked on a monthly archive, I would get individual blog entries displayed. The previous and next hotlinks were the titles of the previous and next blog entries.

After setting things up again today, the monthly archive displays all entries for the month rather than individual entries.

Any pointers on how to modify my archives template to display individual entries when I click on a monthly archive? I did it once before but can't recover how I did it. Thanks.

I'm a bit confused with what you are trying to do. I see your August 2003 archives and it shows the full text of each entry. How is this different than what you were displaying before?

When I view your most recent entry from the link on your sidebar (under recent entries), I go to the August 2003 page but scrolled down to the spot where the most recent entry starts.

That makes me guess that you have the Default Archive set to Monthly (in the Weblog Config under Preferences). Maybe before you had it set to something else?

And you are correct, I had my Preferred Archive Type set to 'monthly'. I've now changed it to 'individual'. When I scroll through Recent Entries, I see the kind of display I recall and was trying to describe. I thought it appeared the same when I clicked on 'August 2003 archives' but maybe not. I've not found another blog archive that displays the way I thought mine did. Let's just chalk it up to confusion on my part.
