Hi,

many of our blog items are brief, and are under the 20 word limit for the excerpt. Is there any way to have MTExcerpt include the link to the actual news piece?

If I write an excerpt that includes the link, will that work as a work around? (I'll go try that next -- MTExcerpt as a default does not include links. I would guess that's because it would be in trouble if it split the excerpt in mid-link.)

Use MTEntryBody instead, and you should get the links you want. But you'll want to make sure they are short, if you're trying to keep things small!

Perhaps consider using a category attribute on your MTEntries container to only include particular entries that will definitely be short, as they are assigned to that particular category.
