Full Version: MTEntryExcerpt and text formatting

I used the search form on my blog today to quickly try to find a link I posted some time ago, and I realized that the search results folks see aren't formatted properly because I use the Textile formatting plugin and MTEntryExcerpt ignores text formatting. Back when our only choices were "none" and "convert line breaks" this wouldn't have been an issue (a simple "convert_breaks" would do the trick)... but now that there are other formatting options available, how do I tell MTEntryExcerpt which one to use?

(Go here and search for "test" to see what I'm getting at -- the first search result should be a bunch of links.)

is it possible for you to use something like this:
CODE
Excerpt with line breaks converted:
<$MTEntryExcerpt convert_breaks="1"$>

in your search templates?

No, that's precisely what the problem is. Textile does a lot more than convert the line breaks, but I can't see how to apply it to the excerpts.

Does anybody understand what I'm getting at?
