After some time trying to get thru to my current WebHost (www.getmeonline.net) about trying to get DB_File.pm installed back? onto the server, I have decided to get a new host, but I want to keep all my posts and comments etc... So, what can I do? Save everything I installed and transfer it to my new host? Or isn't it that easy? Lets pretend Im a net newbie, I want to do it the easy way just like making a copy onto a disk.

Cheers

interesting. I TOO just had some big headaches with getmeonline.net and am considering jumping ship. (we lost a bunch of files in a recent server transfer.)

however, i am nervous about switching, because the last time i switched hosts for a site i lost all my files. (they simply expected me to re-upload and reassemble.)

is there a key to making a seamless webhost change?

Ahhhh... good old Andrew claims that I was the only person.... my blog is working again, but a few posts are missing (latest ones). Without some real help, I think saving some of the .db files might make a transfer easy... still I'd like some help.

Try this: Moving your Blogs to a new server or webhost - the PDF doc she references at the beginning is especially handy.
