I'm trying to make Mark's pingToRebuild.cgi work so that when I post to my new sideblog (thanks again, girlie), my main index rebuilds as well.

While pinging, I get this error

I've placed the cgi script in my mt folder and added this path to ping in my sideblog: http://www.bobzyeruncle.com/mt/pingToRebuild.cgi

Also, I've chmod the file as directed, but each time I go back to look at the file, the permissions are back to the original setting ... which might be the problem?

What am I doing wrong?

was using ws_ftp95le

I got in via telnet and did a chmod that way, then tried ./pingToRebuild.cgi and got a "411 Length Required" message

not sure what I did right (or wrong), but it's working now
