I've got the same problem, and the same question, as Val Prieto:

"I tried to log in to my MT this morning and it wont allow access. I keep getting invalid user and password messages. Also, the recover password is not accepting my info. What can I do?"

Same thing is happening here, but it seems to happen after I try to do the password recovery.

I created a new account and assigned it a password. Logged into that account set the birth city and then logged out and back in again. All that worked.

Then I logged out again and tried the Password recovery. The recovery had an error. (Don't have sendmail and can't get SMTP to work).

When i tried to log in again with that account and the correct password I get the "invalid login" error.

What is up with this? Before I realized the problem, I lost some data.

Is ther fix? Is there a way to get into the users db (Using Berkley DB) to get or reset the password?

Help would be appreciated.

Mt-Medic does not help. I am having the same issue. All authors and blogs are missing and cannot be accessed via Mt-Medic.
