Ok, everything was working just fine until 10 minutes ago when all of a sudden rebuilding - or building for that matter - starting giving me errors like the following...

QUOTE
Writing to '/home/haydur/public_html/life/past/000173.html.new' failed: Opening local file '/home/haydur/public_html/life/past/000173.html.new' failed: Permission denied

What can happen in ten minutes for things to go this bad when I did absolutely nothing to anything?

Most likely, your host made a change to their server configuration - in the meantime, does I get an error about .new files when rebuilding help?

Well, I read that FAQ but my folder is already set to 777, and I just went back to make sure it was still like that?

In what ways could my host change it's configuration?

Have you confirmed that the permissions have not changed on the folder recently?

Well, it never fails to amaze me how I overlook these tiny things... but hey, it wasn't my fault if my host did something and it changed the permissions on my archives folder.

Thanks again though... smile.gif
