I installed MT just fine and have been having no problems, but I am second quessing myself about my install decisions (not to use msqyl in my case) and wondering what the choice bodes for the future, should I be prolific with posts and lucky to have lots of visitors -- or whatever other eventualities might occur that I don't even know about yet.
Is there any chart that shows the advantages and disadvantages of each installation method?
If I'm going to change mine, I'd like to do it now, before I have a lot of content. And, if I do change to mysql, is there a way to do it without recreating my blogs from scratch?
Thanks in advance.

No contest. MySQL confers no end of advantage. I won't take the time to enumerate the reasons, except to say that making the change takes about one minute, under any circumstances, using the included mt-db2sql.cgi script.
You have time to not take my word for it, and just switch when you're sure you want to, i.e., it couldn't be easier, even with a lot of posts.

Thanks for the reply.
However, I wouldn't mind someone enumerating some of the primary advantages of mysql, in the interest of my education.

A search of the forum would no doubt turn up multiple threads on this issue, but you can find a short list of the advantages here:

That's exactly the kind on info I was looking for! Thanks. I don't think it would hurt to provide that link in the installation guide, for the sake of novices like me. I just made my choices at random, really, not knowing anything about the options.
