So I have a blog and a side blog, which is just another blog being php-included into my regular blog.

You Can See Example Here

Well my regular blog is perfect but when ever I add a quick little entry to my side blog, both blo.gs and weblog.com (or whatever that other one is) give me fail errors for the pings. The come back saying that my content didn't change.

Don't know if I am making any sense but was hoping someone knows what is going on. sad.gif

Just A Thought:

As I was writing that I had a thought. On my blog setup for my side blog, I have the URL of the site listed as my splash page / entry page. Would that matter? Should I have that configured to the file that is being called in the PHP include?

The other blog (my main one) uses that splash page for its main url in the config screen and I don't have any problems...

Yep, the ping checks to see if the page listed as your SiteURL actually changed. You could make the splash page be generated from inside of MT, and that would probably be enough to trigger its rebuild each time.

that must be it then... the splash page is generated in MT (as all my web pages are) but it is part of my main blog. My side blog only has that one template so it doesn't enclude the splash.

I will mess with it with that new information and see what I can do. THANKS! biggrin.gif
