I'm putting together an MT site that will be used by engineers on a set of projects. Every time a new engineering project comes along, we will need a new weblog for it. Right now, to create a new weblog, I do "create weblog" from the mt.cgi page, but then I have to manually go through the entire configuration to set up the new weblog.

Is there a way I can get all the configuration settings from an old weblog copied over to a new weblog automatically?

Thanks,

If you literally copied all the settings over, you'd be publishing the new weblog on top of the prototype one. smile.gif

You can edit the default-templates.pl to change the templates installed in new weblogs. Using the Perl API (the Perl API) to make a new weblog with the same settings as an old one shouldn't be too hard either.
