I did do a search on the forum for this, however, a lot of the threads lead to links with broken links within, which is to be expected with an old tutorial I suppose. Anyway, is there a way to password-protect certain entries within a blog and if so, could someone post the answer here.

I don't believe there is a mechanism in MT to protect certain entries. Probably the best you could do (that I can think of) would be to set up a separate blog for your private entries and use webserver authentication (via htaccess) or some other authentication method to protect it. I'm sure other people will have other ideas about how it could be done.
