I have users who I have restricted access so that all they can do is Post, I want to be able to expand there access so they can upload files, but I want to limit there rights so they can only upload to a specific folder, I also want a link to be automagically created on the main blog page (under the links section maybe? ) That they can title however they want.

Is this doable?

Okay, after looking at a coupla things, It seems like the limiting a user to only be able to upload to a certain folder should be doable within MT, im just not sure as HOW to go about it, alter there edit entry interface so it simply does not give them an option to upload to anywhere other then where I dictate?

The second part, having a link automagically appear on the main page of there blog, im less clear on how to do ? should I maybe use an external perl script to handle that? anyone know of an existing free script that does something like this? or am I wrong and theres a way within MT to do this?

I'm also looking into similar things - I'd like to customize the upload file page to make it easier for clients to upload files, by setting defauts and and cutting unnecessary options.

If anyone could point me in the right direction of how to go about doing this I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

there's a few image upload PHP scripts here that should work.
