How do I make comments on MT work like this?

I'm not sure I follow... When I first read his post, I assumed he meant he wanted the entry and posts to appear on the main page, but he pasted a URL directly to the entry + comments.

On my own blog, if I click to the page containing only a specific entry like that, the comments are all there too, not in a popup window like they would be if I clicked the 'comments' link on the main page. So I'm a little unsure of what exactly he wants...
