Full Version: Using Movable Type to manage content

Hi,
I installed Movable Type about a month ago and I was wondering how I could use Movable Type to integrate both the content from my website and my blog.

What I would like to do would be to use Movable Type to generate the whole website, with the front page as my blog and the things that I write being automatically inserted into a navbar.

I was thinking of using the CatEntries plugin to generate the navbar, by putting the things I write into a special category. However, I would want to exclude these entries from appearing on the front page(since they're on the navbar) and from having their category displayed in their individual page.

How would I proceed to do this? Is using the CatEntries plugin a good idea?
