I've seen the reports that the buttons won't appear on non-IE browsers, but I have the opposite problem. I don't need the text-formatting buttons on the entry form; I use the keyboard shortcuts, and the buttons just get in the way of the tab order. But when I customize the form and uncheck "Text Formatting", the buttons still appear.. this is with 2.661.

Text Formatting doesn't refer to those buttons - it refers to the drop down window named "Text Formatting", where you select "Convert Line Breaks" or "None" (or any other options for text formatting you have available from installing plugins).

Thanks.. I didn't realize that. I hacked some TABORDER= parameters into edit_entry.tmpl for myself, but obviously that won't work for all configurations of the entry form... it'd be nice if MT was a bit more accessible!
