Individual, daily, weekly, monthly, even by category-- where's yearly?

Every month and with every new release ... I come back here ... looking for a way to do yearly archives.

I'm going on three years worth of entries and that would be a simply spiffy way of organizing.

Scripty goddess has a nifty drop down menu but I can't see to find out how they did it.

Brad posted a means of creating a Yearly Calendar Page on his site. Works spiffy.

I'm not seeing any yearly archive options on SG??

You might also be interested in the Archive Date Header plugin, as that helps divide up the archives into years. smile.gif

Add another request for Yearly Archives.

In addition, it'd really be nice to have the flexibility of 'fromdate' and 'todate' attributes in the MTEntries tag, to complement 'lastn' and 'days'.

In the context of trying to fake up yearly archives, I'd really like to be able to use
      «MTDateHeader>
«h2 class="date"><$MTEntryDate format="%B"$>«/h2>
«/MTDateHeader>
to put monthly headers into the listing. As it is, though, apparently the logic is fixated on inserting the DateHeader once each new day, regardless of whether the value of the header has changed from the previous printing. That is, it produces:

April

entry text from Apr 3....

April

entry text from Apr 17....

April

entry text from Apr 26....

May

entry text from May 2....

which is not the effect I'm looking for.

MT is very cool. I hope some kind of Yearly Archives can be added before it becomes 2004.

Well, they've been busy.
