I tried to amend the achive template this morning and when I went to rebuild I had the following error:

CODE
Writing to '/home/virtual/site20/fst/var/www/html/blog/atom.xml.new' failed: Opening local file '/home/virtual/site20/fst/var/www/html/blog/atom.xml.new' failed: No such file or directory

I then tried to create a new post and got this message:

CODE
mkdir /home/virtual/site20/fst/var/www/html/blog: Permission denied at lib/MT/FileMgr/Local.pm line 104

I've also noticed that Ive had comments on my site that appear when I log into MT but not on the live site, and it hasn't notified me via e-mail that the comments were made. Everything seems to be as it should be on my server (all chmod's are as they should be) and I dont know where or how to solve this problem.

Running your mt-check.cgi reveals a path that looks like this:

/home/virtual/site60/fst/var/www/cgi-bin

Perhaps your host made some changes to your account overnight, and you need to update your paths.

Since MT rebuilds files after a comment is posted, but before sending the notification, if the rebuilds failed because of the same type of path error, then the site would not reflect the comment, and the notification would not be sent.

Thanks for your reply. At least now I know where to check if this happens again.

Amended the details and blog now works. I also note that Image Magick is not installed when it should have been. Will need to get that sorted out as well!
